Md Afan Abdullah is a final-year BA LLB (Hons.) student at the Faculty of Law, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. With a solid foundation in legal studies and a commitment to social services, he has keen interest in working for the welfare of the society. During his initial days of college, he was an active member of an NGO which was working for the welfare of slum dwellers in Jamia Nagar area of Delhi. After working with the NGO, he began his journey with the Indian Civil Liberties Union (ICLU), New Delhi. As a member, he has organised several legal aid camps and worked on various petitions for social causes. Afan actively volunteered in the National Service Scheme (NSS). From 2021 to 2024, he was an integral part of Jamia National Cadet Corps (NCC), culminating his tenure as a Junior Under Officer (JUO). He earned the prestigious NCC 'C' certificate with an Alpha grade. He has also represented the Jamia at the EBSB National Camp in Nagrota, Jammu. As a law student, he has interned at prestigious office like the Chamber of Salman Khurshid (Senior Advocate and Former Foreign Minister). Md Afan Abdullah is an RTI-activist and human right activist as well. He has filed several complaints regarding the violation of human rights in different parts of the country. He loves to discuss and talk about the contemporary political events in the world.
